XANAX tablets contain alprazolam which is a triazolo analog of the 1,4 benzodiazepine class of central nervous system-active compounds. 

XANAX (Alprazolam) is a white crystalline powder, which is soluble in methanol or ethanol, but which has no appreciable solubility in water at physiological pH. 
Each XANAX Tablet, for oral administration, contains 0.25, 0.5, 1 or 2 mg of alprazolam
XANAX Tablets, 2 mg, are multi-scored and may be divided on 4 parts of 0.5 mg or 2 parts if 1 mg.
Inactive ingredients: Cellulose, corn starch, docusate sodium, lactose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and sodium benzoate. In addition, the 0.5 mg tablet contains FD&C Yellow No. 6 and the 1 mg tablet contains FD&C Blue No. 2

 

XANAX (Alprazolam) Dosage


DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or take this medicine for longer than prescribed. Exceeding the recommended dose or taking this medicine for longer than prescribed may be habit forming.
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor.
Store this medicine at room temperature, away from heat and light.
If you miss a dose of this medicine and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until later, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
